Guest Blogger Series : Meet Karien from "Running the Race"
Tweet Who runs the world? MOMS! Good Morro lovely people, today I’m so excited to share this post. I had the lovely opportunity to be paired with another Mommy blogger this month. This is my month to get in shape, be it in my work, life, health, studies. So kicking it off I attended my first ABC Bootcamp session last night, which I will do a post on once I complete my month, so keep a lookout for this. All I can say is WOW, leaving the session last night I was both in pain (some of these muscles have not been used in YEARS) and so impressed with myself.…

My Unisa : Studying with 1 Hubby, 2 Kids, 1 New job and NO TIME
Tweet When entering a new year one is faced with the question, “Are you making any new year’s resolutions?” and generally my response is “No” however during last year I decided that I wanted to further my studies, and not in the sense where I do a short course which I have done 2 thus far over the last 2 years but actually study something that will benefit me in the long term. Baby Shower recap : Think Pink
TweetHi all, So I thought instead of letting time go by I would do a quick recap of the “Think Pink” babyshower we hosted for my sister 2 weeks back. Let me just say I am baby obsessed and if I could I would pop out another 3, but my Husband would definitely pack his bags and leave. I think the 3 of us keep him busy as is. The babyshower itself was held at the Durbanville Rose Garden, an ideal venue for any type of “tea” functions, even 1st birthday parties. In preparation for the shower we did a few DIY crafts to save on costs, even though planning…

Organisation 101 : The Command File
TweetOne thing that has always interested me is the way the American people majorly the Woman run their households, they have what they call “Command Centres”. Now anyone who knows me, knows that I thrive off lists and charts and to do’s and filing. Yes, I know as odd as it may be, this is where I find my happy place. I’m an Admin person at heart. Organizing and planning, scheduling and filing. However I don’t seem to find enough hours in my day to do this in our home. In my head I have this perfect vision of how the “Thomas Command Centre” would look but in reality I have all…

Terrible Toddler Phases
TweetAm I the only Mom in the entire world battling at present? Lately Joshuah (17 Months) has entered a weird inbetween phase, he no longer wants a dummy at night, he doesn’t want a bottle either, he has regressed to waking up every 2 – 3 hours to feed and will not let me out of his sight. He has even started throwing horrible temper tantrums. Like seriously, who is this child? He couldn’t have come out of my body. Is this just normal? Nothing has changed in our lives, there’s been no changes at school either. I have no explanations as to what has triggered this. Could it just be a pre-toddler phase he is…
