Well hello there, I know its been a while since I’ve posted here but life has been keeping us extremely busy but thankfully most of us get a few days off this school holiday, YAY!
So now that the school holidays have officially begun many parents are searching the interweb for fun activities (which won’t break the bank) to keep the kids busy over the next few weeks, am I right?
Sadly I’m not one of the fortunate ones to be getting some time off, you know with only being in my new/old position for 2 months. So while I sit at work suffering from FOMO I thought I’d do a weekly post on things to do with your kiddlings these holidays.
24 June – 16 July
Canal Walk is proud to present Fred Abrahamse & Marcel Meyer`s Robin Hood. This year, the age-old tale of ‘giving and equality for all’ comes to life with the telling of Robin Hood, as Centre Court is transformed into Sherwood Forest and Nottingham Castle.
Like our hero who is on a mission to make life better for others, Canal Walk Shopping Centre and the Hyprop Foundation have this year partnered with the LEAP Science & Maths schools. All proceeds from the theatre programmes, as well as a percentage of the ticket sales from the staging of the performances will be donated to these no-fee schools.
This is where you and your family also have a chance to do your bit for the community, as throughout the theatre run, CWSC is also asking patrons and theatre goers to bring a can of food to help them and the LEAP schools to feed the minds and bodies of those less fortunate.
To meet Robin, Marian, The Sherriff of Nottingham and the Merry Men, including the legendary Friar Tuck, book tickets at Computicket at a cost of R75 per person.
There will be three performances per day (11:00; 12:30 and 14:00) from Tuesday to Sunday.
And for those of us who have to squeeze in as much fun activities over the weekend you know where to find the Thomas family this weekend.
