The what nominations? Liebster…

The what award nomination?

Liebster, I don’t understand what this is (first response)…. I then continue and re-read the post, newbie here, never heard of this before.

Yippee to us though!!!!!

I love the idea so much (plus I’ve just learnt a little more about some fellow Mommy bloggers in Cape Town).

So thank you to the lovely Cindy over at “3 Kids, 2 Dogs, 1 Old House” for nominating me (us), I feel like a celebrity-ish (planning my acceptance speech in my head, lol), I’m excited and I don’t even know why, I know it’s a little stupid but hey. There are certain bloggers I admire and really look up to, and Cindy just happens to be one of them. She’s freakin Super Woman / Mom, go on over to her blog and check.

Yes I’m new, yes, I’m still wet behind my blogging ears and yes I may not always be consistent in posting / blogging regularly, BUT I’m learning and growing and I’m having a blast and I’ve been in the great position to meet a few good, beautiful, intelligent, strong Woman out there and extra plus, some awesome Moms! I admire these ladies so much. How they do it, I will never know (ooh… great post series idea, “How they do it”)

Now part of the nominees responsibilities is to do the following:

Liebster Award Rules

  • Thank and link the person who nominated you – WOOHOO to Cindy again
  • Answer the questions given by the nominator.
  • Nominate 11 other bloggers, who have less than 300ish followers and link them.
  • Create 11 new questions for the nominees to answer
  • Notify all nominees via social media/blogs.

Now to answer the questions

  • Would you rather have a head as big as a tennis ball or as big as a watermelon?
    • Definitely a watermelon, why, because as it stands we already big headed people in our family. So we’ll just carry on as per normal.
    • And I LOVE watermelons, from buying, to cutting it, eating it, messing and spitting the pips out (brings back many childhood memories).
  • Would you rather have fingers as long as your legs or legs as long as your fingers?
    • Legs as long as fingers, and I’d walk around on stilettos all day every da
  • Would you rather live inside the world of Jurassic Park or the Walking Dead?
    • Jurassic Park, I’d love to walk among the dinosaurs
  • Would you rather fight a duck the size of a horse or 20 duck size horses?
    • I actually quite like Horses, so maybe 20 duck size horses please
  • Would you rather tattoo your face only or every other inch of your body except your face?
    • I’d tattoo my face only and if need be I could always cover up with lots of concealer
  • Would you rather spend 24 hours in a room that’s blindingly lit in white light or in a room so dark you can’t even see your hand?
    • A dark room and I’d sleep for 24 hours, show me a parent of 2+ kids (even 1) who couldn’t do with extra sleep
  • Would you rather be the wife of and live in the time of Ragnar Lothbrook (from Vikings) or with Jax Teller (from Sons of Anarchy)?
    • Jax Teller
  • Would you rather have no knees or no elbows?
    • Uhm, no knees
  • Would you rather be incredibly rich and not so easy on the eyes or an absolute stunner with no money?
    • Is life easier for stunners? I think so, or am I wrong? But I’d take the money. I have a Hubby that I adore and 2 gorgeous kids. All we need is the money and we’d be set
  • Would you rather say everything that crosses your mind out loud or never speak again?
    • Oh glory, that could be very dangerous. I don’t always have a filter and I need one. I breath and think long and hard before I say something (I try, I’m working on this). If I just said everything that crossed my mind I’d have no friends, no family (not my Hubby and boys) and no job. So let me rather never speak again. I can write and listen instead.
  • Would you rather want to be able to look into the future whenever you want to but not be able to change anything or go back to the past and change something?
    • Definitely take a trip into my past. There’s so much I wish I could have done differently. SO MUCH. SO VERY MUCH. If I simply changed one thing (yes, I have pinpointed the minute things went wonky in life) things would have turned out so much differently. Life is still great, but it took MANY wrong turns to get back on the right path and into a happy place.

And my nominations are (I know I didn’t stick to the 11)

And lastly my amazingly talented baby Sister, Robyn at Onefifteenten….

Now for my questions

  • What are you really really good at?
  • What did you want to be when you grow up?
  • What’s your favourite procrastination tool?
  • 1 Ply, 2 Ply or 3 Ply?
  • What’s your biggest blogging achievement?
  • What’s your biggest blogging challenge?
  • What does a normal day in your life look like?
  • What makes you unique?
  • What is your favourite way to recover from a long and bad day?
  • How do you shut off the world around you to concentrate on your blog?
  • What 2 words best describe you?

And that’s all she wrote…
