Kids Emporium Bloggers Breakfast
On Saturday Kids Emporium hosted their annual Bloggers Breakfast at the beautiful Steenberg Estate – Bistro Sixteen 82. The event last year was a huge success and I cannot tell you how excited and honoured I was when I received an invite for this year’s breakfast.
Through my blog I’ve had the privilege of being invited to a few events over the years and as much as I have loved them all there’s just something special about a Kids Emporium gathering. Lauren and Team are meticulous with every detail associated with their events and have a way of making everyone feel extra special.
Now lets spend a minute on the food, my weakness. I completely sucked at not taking pictures of how gorgeous the presentation was of the meals. We were greeted with fruit platters of note, a decadent serving of honey drenched brioche and mimosas (or orange juice and champers if you preferred them separately), definitely a great way to start the weekend. This was followed by your choice of “mains”; Yoghurt terrine (Bulgarian yoghurt terrine, berry coulis, citrus segments, nut granola & honey), Mushroom Benedict (Assorted mushrooms, rösti, poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce, cherry tomato) or my favourite Eggs Benedict like you’ve never tasted before (Bacon 1682, rösti, poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce, cherry tomato). I actually cannot wait to plan a breakfast date with the Hubby.
I love how Lauren summed up her talk;

- Don’t forget to take a selfie (not the pouting type) but a you do
- Don’t forget you were many things before a Mom / Dad
- Fill your life with what is important first and don’t sweat the small stuff
- Family night suggestions: Pasta and Lego – I live for pasta and all my boys love playing Lego so this is definitely on our list this month
- Action the weakest point of your wheel of life an map out your future – we all should have goals we set for ourselves and its about time these make it onto paper.
If you follow me on social media you would have seen some info about Mothers Day Connect. See my previous post for details. It was so great to have Julie (Wife to AfroDaddy) attend and share more information about her organization, how it got started and initiatives we can get involved with. Thank you Julie, I’m so excited to be a part of the Karl Bremer team this Sunday.
Last years swag bag was filled with gorgeous products which my kids absolutely adored, this year however the swag box was just for me – no kids, no sharing, all mine. These are just some of the items which was included.
