Attending the #CTMomBlogMeet
I was invited like many others to attended the Cape Town Mom Blog Meet which was arranged and hosted by the lovely Cindy from 3 Kids, 2 Dogs, 1 Old House.
While on maternity leave I stumbled upon the Mommy blogging community, and reading their posts daily kept me sane. I learnt new tips and tricks on parenting, experimented with new recipes, purchased holy grail beauty products as advised by other bloggers, shared my hardships and laughed a lot. Ladies from all walks of life and yet we had one thing in common, we were all Moms.
When Cindy announced online that she was hosting a CT Mom blog meet I jumped at the opportunity, these are ladies which I admire and without them knowing have influenced my life and parenting style so much over the last year. Of course I wanted to be there (#Mombloggroupie).
Information was sent through over the course of the month and the excitement started building, I couldn’t wait to sit with these talented ladies, (check out who was at the event HERE), pick their brains a bit and just enjoy everyones company.
Like a typical woman I sat the day before trying to figure out what I should wear, hair up or down, makeup or none. I was so nervous, meeting new people is always so daunting. Eventually I just thought I’d wear whatever fits.
The event was held at Graze Restaurant in Kenilworth, if you have never heard about them shame on you, take a look at their website HERE and like them on facebook HERE.
I’m not going into too much detail now, will do a review on them soon (hint hint Hubby, date night). One thing I do HAVE to say is that the food was AMAZING and they completely won me over by their kiddies menu which caters for fussy eaters and all.
We started the morning off with nervous networking and lovely starters which broke the ice for me. Conversations over food are always so much more relaxing.
This was then followed by a talk from Nikki who lives on Between Daydreams which I needed, there’s so much I just don’t know. It was truly beneficial.
Now for the fun part… Everyone loves a goodie bag and we were spoilt by the sponsors, once again a BIG thank you to all of the sponsors. Definitely appreciate the gesture of receiving a little something, even Moms needs to be spoilt every now and then.
So to say thank you for checking my blog out, commenting on posts, encouraging me and building my little corner of the internet I’ll be running my first competition, BIG ACHIEVEMENT for me!
Whats the prize???? Well the absolutely AWESOME Mr. Price treated all of us with a little something for our blog, R250 gift card to one lucky person! Besides the spoils of individually wrapped boxes per Mom and Mom to be, inside was wrapped items per child. Like, who does that nowadays? Who cares that much? Big brownie points there!
