Planning a baby shower

I was definitely fortunate enough to be blessed with having 3 great baby showers

My first with Danny was planned by my best friends (we were as close as Sisters) Crystal and Shafieqa.

Due to circumstances I unfortunately had none of my family plan or attend but I did have my amazing support system consisting of close friends, extended family and my awesome colleagues.

I remember the day so well. It was a complete surprise to me, I didn’t know anything about it and definitely didn’t expect it. I was overwhelmed with emotions and just felt so special.

Through this challenging time the most amazing friendship developed between friends Crystal, Shafieqa, Shihaam and my Edwina. It was just such a special time for us and these girls had my back like you couldn’t believe, they jumped in and stood by my side.

I will forever be grateful for how they helped me during that time. Even though we don’t see each other in our group I would still drop anything for these ladies. I love them so much.

My second was hosted by my colleagues (Joshy).

It was an absolute blast. I love the people I work with, even when at times I don’t like them. They always make the effort to go BIG and its definitely appreciated. The food was great, the presents amazing (more than I have ever ever received) and I was just blown away by the love and support I felt by them.

My third was hosted by my Sisters (Joshy) and Momma.

It was exactly the laid back, small shower I needed. We celebrated at Isabella’s in Durbanville with cake and tea (I love high tea’s / tea parties for the record).

I thought I’d share some baby shower ideas if you’re thinking of planning one anytime soon, which we are for Baby Isabella (cannot wait for my precious princess to be born, April get here already, I’m so excited to be an Aunt “Lala” again – NO ET I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU!)
